World Book Day

Well done to all our students who partipated in World Book Day.
As part of our celebrations, our students dressed up as their favourite book character.
Some of their costumes were remarkably creative - well done to all the students and their parents!
We had winners from each class who were presented with vouchers for Antonia's Bookstore.
Congrats to all our winners and all who participated!

Student Council
Our first Student Council was elected last Monday, 17th February.
The student council will work in partnership with school management and staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.
The students elected were:
Kealan and Ruth from 3rd class
Conor and Chanel from 4th class
Beau and Amelia from 5th class
Ellie and Dylan from 6th class.
Ellie will take on the role of Student Council president.

Well done to all elected and we look forward to seeing the Council's great work in the future!
Quiz Awards 2020
Well done to the runners up and winners of the school quiz in 2020.
We had runners up and winners in every class from 3rd to 6th.
Well done to all students!

Cups Come to Kildalkey!
Kildalkey recently had four visitors to the school - in the form of four cups.
We had the Division 3 Hurling cup which the Junior hurlers won, the Brendan Davis Cup which the Senior Hurlers won, the Jubilee Cup which the senior hurlers won this year for the first time in 8 years and last, but definitely not least, the Christy Ring Cup which the Meath hurlers won in 2020.
The four cups went to all the different classes - hopefully plenty of players in these classes will experience winning these cups for themselves in the not so distant future!!

School Quiz 2020
Kildalkey N.S. recently held their school quiz.

All students from 3rd class to 6th enjoyed the quiz, which consisted of 15 different rounds of 8 questions each.
We had winners from every class and the overall winners this year hailed from fifth class!
All enjoyed the quiz and had fun, which was the main idea!!! Well done all and thanks to those who helped run it on the day with particular thanks to Angie who helped put it all together!
