Helpful Links and Resources for Parents

Dear Parents,

Here are a number of helpful resources that may be of benefit to you over the upcoming weeks.

Folens have made their content available to parents. This is a useful website as you can find lots of interactive and extra content to follow on from some of the topics in student’s textbooks. It is particularly good for content in relation to Maths, English and Gaeilge. Log onto to Folensonline.ie. Register as a teacher and use the roll number: PRIM20 to create an account.

Twinkl have also made all their resources free to use and have excellent activities, worksheets and timetables that could be of use. They are offering all parents a One Month Free Membership which will allow parents access to resources related to all curriculum areas. Just go to www.twinkl.ie/offer and enter the code IRLTWINKLHELPS.

The NCSE have created different resource sheets for children with SEN please visit the website here - https://ncse.ie/online-resources.

Another good resource is https://www.mindheart.co/descargables which has created a booklet for children under the age of 7 aiming to support and reassure them regarding COVID-19.

We hope this is of benefit to you and your children.

Message to Parents

Dear Parents,

In these unprecedented times, we hope you and your family are keeping safe. We are putting suggestions of work that your children can engage in on the school website and this will be updated regularly. We hope that this is not creating any additional stress for parents and we ask that you access only as much of this work that you can do. When we are back at school, the teachers will pick up where the children are at.

Keep well and safe and don't forget to take the opportunity to read as much as possible and to include Art, P.E. and music activities where possible.

Mise le meas,

Chris Fox

Principal Kildalkey N.S.
