Well done to all who took part in our inaugural St. Patrick's Day Show.
Classes from Senior Infants all the way up to sixth took part, providing a superb spectacle with plenty of singing, music and dancing.
Maith sibh agus míle buíochas do Miss Lynch a shocraigh an lá!
Ag deireadh an taispeántas, thug Mr. Fox bronntanais chuig na cailíní a bhí sa comórtas Intel Mini Scientist.
Lá iontach a bhí againn!
School Quiz 2019
Well done to all who took part in the School Quiz on Wednesday, 20th February.
Over 13 rounds of 8 questions each, we had some very high scores and some very interesting questions - and answers!
All the students enjoyed it and competition was fierce!
Well done to the teams who came in first and second in each class - we even had to have tie breakers in a couple of the classes, it was that tight!

MJ McGearty R.I.P.
Former Principal of the school, MJ McGearty sadly passed away during the week.

MJ was appointed Principal of the school in September 1950, a position he held for many years.
As well as being a successful Principal, MJ was a renowned GAA man, historian and community figure. Many of the school's past students fondly recall him packing cars with student in order to drive them to matches etc! MJ taught with many teachers in his time in Kildalkey - interestingly enough, all of them women! He will be sadly missed.

Hurling Wall
Students of Kildalkey N.S. were invited to attend the Hurling Wall ceremony to showcase the start of the building of Kildalkey GAA's hurling wall.

Kieran Donaghy came down to help launch the wall and spoke to the crowd, before signing autographs for the gathered students.

The wall is hoped to be completed in 9 to 10 weeks and will be a valuable asset, both for the club and indeed, the school.

Catholics Schools Week

The school recently had a prayer service to mark Catholic Schools Week on Friday, 1st February.
In what was a beautiful service, we had some beautiful prayers and readings from all the different classes.
The choir sang beautifully in what was a gorgeous ceremony overall.
Well done to all who participated and Miss Pykett who helped organise the service.
