Second Class
Aurora Borealis
This month we learned about the northern lights, or the aurora borealis, the beautiful dancing waves of light that have captivated people for millennia. We learned that it is a result of energized particles from the sun that slam into Earth's upper atmosphere at great speed and our planet's magnetic field protects us from it!
The children then used chalk to create their own version of the aurora.

Piet Mondrian
This month, we studied the artwork of Ducth artist Piet Mondrian. We learned that he is best known for his abstract paintings made from squares and rectangles. He often used primary colours - red, yellow and blue and didn't use a ruler to measure out his lines!
The children then recreated the work of Piet Mondrian over a number of weeks.

In November We Remember
In November we remembered and prayed for our loved ones who have gone before us. The children in 2nd class designed their own candle to put on display for the month❣️

Happy Halloween from 2nd Class!

Spooky Skeletons
