Ethan's Papal Letter

This week, one of our Senior Infant students got a lovely surprise in the post when a letter arrived from none other than Pope Francis!

Ethan

Ethan in Senior Infants has been fascinated by Pope Francis since he started this year. Pauline decided to post a letter from Ethan to the Vatican in November.

This week, he got a reply!

The letter, by assessor monsignor Paolo Borgia in the Holy See, says: “The holy father was happy to receive your letter and asked me to reply to you.

“He is glad to hear that you turn to the lord in your needs.

“His holiness sends warm wishes to you, your family, and your teachers and prays that you will grow in friendship with Jesus Christ our lord and be filled with the gifts of joy and peace.

“I am sending a medal blessed by the holy father for you.”

Well done to Ethan! The story appeared on the front page of the Meath Chronicle, as well as the Irish Times this week!

Craft Fair Success

The Christmas Craft Fair took place on Sunday, 4th December in the Parochial Hall in School Two.

There were many tables with varying crafts on display, all of which looked terrific!

Visitors kept coming through the doors - it seemed all the school must have come at one point or another!

In what was a very festive atmosphere, the fair passed off very successfully with many goods being purchased. The raffle was then done at the end of the fair, with Julie Lynch taking home the turkey and many more presents aside!

A big thank you to Angie, Martina and all those involved in organising the event. A big thank you to those people who bought and set up tables in the craft fair any many thanks to all those who came!
