School Open Night
Kildalkey's new school will (finally!) open its doors on Thursday, 6th September.
That evening from 7 o'clock to 8 o'clock, the community is invited to come down to the new school to view it. All members of the community are invited to see what all the fuss is about!
We are very proud of our new school, with all the facilities the students will now be able to utilise and we'd like to extend the opportunity to all to see the finished building.
Looking forward to seeing people there on the night!
School Reopening - 6th September
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Board of Management has had to defer the opening of the new school until Thursday, 6th September.
Students will begin school that day at 9.30 in the new school. Junior Infants will finish at 12.
The Board apologises for any inconvenience caused but the health and safety of all children took precedence and the late opening was unavoidable in this instance.
We look forward to starting school in our new building!
School Reopening August 2018
The school will reopen on Thursday, August 30th in our new school.
We hope to have an Open Evening in the new school that week but we hope to have details of that before then.
If any details change in the next few weeks, parents will be informed of same.
Vandalism
Unfortunately, Kildalkey N.S. has been hit of late with vandalism.
Several classrooms have been broken into and equipment either taken or damaged.
The Gardaí have been notified but we are asking all parents and people in the community to be vigilant and to report anyone on the premises.

June 2018 saw Jacinta McBride finish up on the Board of Management as Parents' Representative.
The Board presented her with a small token as a thank you for the many years of service she has given the Board and the school.
