Gaelic Football Prowess
Well done to our two gaelic football teams this year who are doing great in their respective competitions.
The boys beat Ballivor NS on Tuesday to secure their spot in the semi final. Best of luck to them! They have won four matches en route and are looking forward to the semi.

The girls had their first win, beating a spirited Oldcastle team 6-5 to 4-9. They have two games left in their group. Well done girls!

Well done to both teams and to the coaches, who are so giving of their time. We are very appreciative!!
Principal Appointment
We are in the process of saying Goodbye to Mr. Fox, whose last day will be October 28th.
We are planning many little celebrations for him, in light of the many years of service he has given to the school. He will be sadly missed!!
We are delighted to announce that Mr. O'Neill-Forde will be taking up the role of Principal in November.
We wish him the very best of luck!!
Mrs. Rickard's Retirement
On Friday, 30th September, we said Goodbye to Mrs. Rickard as she retired from Kildalkey N.S.

We had a terrific day with Mrs. Rickard saying Goodbye to all the children as they lined the corridors. She then planted a tree which will stay in the school garden as a timely reminder of all the work she has done.

Then the students put on a show for Mrs. Rickard. Every class put on a little presentation with songs, music, poems and dances to the fore. Mr. Fox played a beautiful sax solo for Mrs. Rickard and she was also presented with gifts from the Parents' Association, the Board of Management along with a beautiful cake from Mrs. McKiernan. Fr. Mohan, current parish priest and Fr. Devine, former parish priest also said a few words before a final reflection from Pauline. Mrs. Aoife Kelly was the MC for the occasion with some beautifully chosen words.

Mrs. Rickard was also presented with a memory box in which students read out former staff and students' memories of Mrs. Rickard.

We then finished with a stunning rendition of Riverdance.

It was a beautiful occasion and a fitting way in which to see off Mrs. Rickard's time in Kildalkey N.S.

We wish her all the best in her retirement!

Thanks to Bill Sweeney who provided the photography and videography on the day and provided the school with the high quality photos and videos.
Photography
Memory Lane Photography will be coming out to the school to take pictures of students in all classes on November 15th.
