Mrs. Maguire Remembered

Today, Kildalkey NS marked the one year anniversary of the passing of our beloved teacher and colleague, Margaret Maguire.

For many years, Margaret taught the children in Kildalkey NS tirelessly and compassionately.

Being a voice for pupils who needed extra support was Margaret's favourite mission. She gave tirelessly to explore, learn, understand and better still, educate others on how to understand and help. Her joy came in devising methods to reach and encourage children, seeking out new resources and creating them where they simply did not yet exist. She was a teacher, quite simply, ahead of her time.

Today, she was remembered with a small prayer service in front of a flower display by our altar.
