Assembly Music Treat!

All the staff and students of Kildalkey N.S. were treated to a wonderful musical performance in our Halloween Assembly.

Mr. Conneely has been working hard with many students who possess super musical talent.

Look at their brilliant performance below!

We were very lucky in Kildalkey N.S. this week to have two representatives from the school come back to us - with trophies!

The minor team won the Div. 1 minor title for the first time as an individual club since 1948 last Saturday, beating Navan O'Mahony's 2-7 to 0-5.

14 of the 15 outfield players played for Kildalkey N.S. representing the school in several Cumann na mBunscol finals, both football and hurling.

We were delighted to welcome back James, who captained the team and Edward. The two boys went round to all the classes telling them about their triumphant campaign and the wonderful, historic win.

We are extremely proud to still see the boys competing to such a high level and that so many of our past students are still playing.

Well done to all involved and thanks to James and Edward for sharing their success with us!

SNA Appreciation Day

On Thursday, 26th September, the school celebrated SNA Appreciation Day.

Here, the staff and students took the time to appreciate all the wonderful SNAs who work in our school, who give such great care to our most vulnerable students.

The school would be lost without such great SNAs - we are very lucky to have such great people in our midst.

Treats were had at break time as well as cards presented from each class.

We even had our former Principal, Mr. Fox, call in to say hello!

Pauline and Angie have been out collecting for a very worthy cause and we had a lot of contributors.

We had the raffle in the yard on Thursday afternoon, 12th September, with Tess Egan from the Active Retirement Group coming in to be presented with a grand total of €1350.
