Basketball Champions!

Well done to the boys' basketball team who won the Medium Schools Basketball league this morning.

After a titanic battle with St. Anne's in the semi-final, which they won 10-6 after being 6 points down at half time, Kildalkey did not take long to put their stamp on the game. A sterling first quarter saw them 8 points up and a strong second quarter saw the half time score read 18-2.

Bohermeen battled back but Kildalkey were on top in most areas and a strong finish saw them lift the title for the first time on a scoreline of 34-17. Afterwards captain Kacper gave a fine speech and the celebrations began!

Well done to the boys and in particular their trainers for the last few years, Kitty Foyle and John Kenny. A proud day for Kildalkey N.S.

Basketball Success for Boys and Girls

Well done to both our basketball girls' and boys' teams who qualified out of their groups!

Playing some superb basketball along the way, the girls defeated Dangan, Moynalvey and Coole before losing to a superb Kilcloon outfit. They look forward to a quarter final.

The boys won all four of their matches and are looking forward to their semi-final!

Well done to both teams and their coaches, Kitty Foyle and John Kenny.

A huge thank you to Kitty and John for all the great work they've done with the 5th and 6th class in basketball since November!

The two coaches have taken then 5th and 6th classes and have improved their skills no end!

The students have had great fun learning the skills and rules of the game!
