Grandparents' Day March 2025
Wednesday, March 5th was a brilliant day in Kildalkey N.S. as we saw many grandparents come to our school to help us celebrate Grandparents' Day.
In what was a terrific occasio, we had more than 150 grandparents join us in the school. They visited the Junior Infants, 1st Class, Féileacáin, Misneach and 6th class classrooms, saw little performances from every class and had teas, coffees and refreshments served to them from the ever hard working Parents' Association.
Thank you to all who came, to all the classes for their hard work and to the Parents' Association for putting on such a spread. Thank you also to Mr. Conneely, our resident DJ for the day.
It was a fabulous day and one that will live long in the memory!!
Basketball Success in Moynalvey
Well done to the boys' and girls basketball teams who played Moynalvey N.S. during the week.
In two very competitive games, the boys came out the right side of a 14-6 scoreline and the girls just edged their counterparts 6-4.
The training that both teams have done over the winter months with Kitty and John bore fruition and was evident in the way both played.
Well done to both teams and we look forward to the next roundf of matches!
Cents for Our Sensory!!
The Parents' Association are running a fabulous fundraiser!
Each class is being asked to bring in all the coppers and small change i.e. 1, 2, 5 cent coins that are not being used at home.
The class with the most coins will get a prize!
The coins will be weighed on February 13th.
Grandparents' Day 2025
Musical
We are looking forward to the musical, The Jungle Book, which will take place in Mullingar Arts Centre on Tuesday, January 21st this year at 7.00p.m.
3rd class and 5th class have been preparing extremely diligently in preparation for the show!
