Colour Theory

The children in 2nd Class learned all about the primary colours in art. We looked at the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian who often only used primary colours in his paintings. The children used Mondrian's work as inpiration for their own art - exploring line and shape too!

In the following weeks we began to investigate the secondary colours. We used the colour wheel to easily display the primary, secondary, warm and cool colours to help us learn the basics of colour theory!
