Fifth Class Boys' Final Victory
Well done to the fifth class boys who won the Fifth class Hurling competition in Dunganny yesterday, 20th December.
Up against a strong St. Paul's Navan team, Kildalkey settled into the task well with a great goal from James. With Kildalkey's defence to the fore, and Thomas and Jamie putting in strong shifts in midfield, St. Paul's were finding it hard to break them down. When James and then Conor goaled again to add to points from Thomas and Caemerhon, it left the half time score 3-3 to 0-1.

Kildalkey kept the pressure on in the second half. Despite conceding an early goal to St. Paul's, they kept adding to the scoreboard with great points from James, Conor Mc, Caemerhon and Thomas adding to the good work being done out the field. Aaron and James were constant threats, keeping the St. Paul's defence on its toes. With Patrick producing great saves in goal, added to sterling defending from Shay, Conor B, the two James and Mark, St. Paul's were unable to bridge the gap. Eventually, the final whistle went and the game was over with the victory claimed on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-2.

Afterwards, Conor and Jamie collected the shield and made rousing speeches. Well done to the fifth class hurlers on a well deserved win, having defeated Kells, Boardsmill and Dunderry en route to yesterday's final. The future is bright!
