Anti-bullying week 2022 

We have been completing lessons all about how to be kind and what a good friend is in Féileacáin. Our class created some lovely art to help spread the message of importance about bullying. Well done!!

Science week 2022

One of our favourite weeks ever. We completed several different experiments and we have lots of budding scientists in our room. We completed the skittles experiment, walking water experiment, coke and mentos experiment and the balloon exlectricity experiment.

PE Coach

We have been very lucky to get a PE GAA coach into the school the last number of weeks. The children have been integrating with 1st class and are busy learning new GAA skills every week.

Christmas is Coming!

Thanks to Kyle who helped put up the Christmas tree in the Principal's Office!

October 2022

All about Autumn

Over the month of October we have been learning all about Autumn. We read stories about trees, leaves and different signs of Autumn. This helped us when we went on our Autumn walk to spot any signs of Autumn. The children collected different signs of Autumn and then we used these to make some crazy hair art. It has helped us learn a lot of new vocabulary about colours and nature. 

Halloween Experiments 

We have been loving doing some science experiments in class, especially ones that are related to Halloween. We made our very own witch potion and used the magic word 'Gouie Louie' to see would the potion explode like a Volcano. Well done Féileacáin. 

Maths week 2022

We have been exploring numicon and learning all about the different ways we can use numicon in the classroom and in Maths. We have also explored Maths in the environmen around us and in everyday life.

September 2022

WELCOME BACK FÉILEACÁIN

We had an excellent start to our year in Féileacáin this September. We have been very busy everyday doing lots of fun activities. One of our favourite parts of the day is working on our Fine Motor Skills. Take a look below at some of the pictures of us busy at work. 

We also LOVE working on our Sensory Tray. One of our favourite things this month has been working on Water and water play. We put some water beads in water and observed them as they grew bigger throughout the day!

In September, we started using 'Six Bricks' this has been so fun. It is helping us work on our social skills, emotional skills, learning about how to share all while using six different colour bricks.
