Swimming
We started our very first open swim last week. We absolutely loved it!! We got to get a lovely bus from our school and then we got to spend lots of time in the water. The children had a brilliant day and showed off their wonderful skills in the water. I am very proud of them all for giving it a try and doing so well on the day.

Outdoors in September
The sun was shining for us at the start of September and we took our learning outside. We love spending time outside in our lovely garden and we are so lucky that all the flowers that were planted have started to bloom. We love smelling the flowers, looking at the different colours and playing out here.

New Astro Pitch
We are loving the new Astro pitch in our school. We went outside to play on it last week, we had a game of football and some races against each other.

Cutting Skills
We started September with our fine motor focus on cutting skills. The children in Féileacáin have done amazing work and are really enjoying using the scissors.

And just like that we reached the end of our July Provision Summer Camp.
We had the most brilliant advenures and finished our brilliant trips with
horse riding in Brookfield Stables.

We made up-cycled fish to embellish our Hooray for Fish display.
We used old CD's. It was superb fun.

Our seedlings are coming along slowly and steadily and Ferney the Class Plant is being
kept watered...he is growing to the ceiling.

Clonfert Pet Farm Trip.

Handa's Surprise Story and Play.

We made fruits from the story and re-created the story using
lollipop animals and our playdough created fruits.
We also made real ice lollipops using mango, pineaple and
passionfuit smoothie juice... some of the fruits from the
story. They were quite delicious!!

Mellowes Adventure Day.

Happy and delighted to be exploring so many fun tasks and activities together.
We are full of business down in the Aistear Room daily and even busier with
cutting and sticking, making puzzles, art and playdough Summer activities.
Here are a few highlights of our week so far.

It has been a very busy few days in Féileacáin as the children settled into July activities.
We had a most exciting and engaging visit from Mrs. Tuite and her dog Finn. Many
of the children got the wonderful opportunity to walk and pet Finn. Poor Mrs. Halligan
didn't get a look in... Finn Dog was much too busy being pampered by all the children.
A BIG thank you to Mrs. Tuite and Finn!!

The adventures just kept coming with a trip to The Trim Play and Adventure Centre,
followed by a bus detour to see and feed the Donkeys. Theresa made sure the donkeys
got some nice carrots! Thank you Theresa.

We just loved the Play Centre and we had the most fun. Staff and pupils alike certainly
made good use of the slide!!

In our groups we are making lots of art and having wonderful fun in the Aistear Room.
We explored magnets and made a very clever magnet fishing rod game. More fishy
adventures saw us make a 3D painted Aquarium display, based on our book
of the week, Hooray for Fish!!

This week we also enjoyed fun activities and cycling in the PE Hall and a little baking.
We planted seeds, a task inspired by the beautiful illustrations in the book,
The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle. We are watching and minding our seeds closely.

We can't wait to show you all the pictures from our next adventures. We are taking some
cool trips and outings this week with our friends from Misneach. Stay tuned!!
School tour !!!
Another great day for us was our trip to Causey Farm for our school tour with 1st class. We had smiles on our faces all days as we explored all the cool things in Causey. We loved the animals, train ride and the bubbles!!

FUN IN THE SUN
We had a great month in school in June and we had lots of fun actitivies with our friends in misneach. We were playing with bubbles, had a teddy bears party and had our own sports day!
