Div. 1/2 Shield Winners
Well done to the hurlers in the Cumann na mBunscol this year who won the Div. 1/2 shield final this year.
Having narrowly missed out on the Div. 1 final after a titanic struggle with Kilmessan N.S., the boys set their sights on the shield final against Cannistown.
A superb showing on the day meant they were too strong for Cannistown, with huge performances all over the pitch.
Sterling showings from all involved in the first half resulted in a big lead with scores from Samuel, Lucas and Daíthí copperfastening the good work being done out the field.
Goals from Samuel and Cillian in the second put the game to bed early in the second half and ensured the shield was going to Kildalkey.
The two captains, Samuel and Harry gleefully accepted the cup after the game and then it was back to the school where the Parents' Association put on a huge spread for the team.
Well done to all the players who can be very proud of their achievements this year. A huge thank you to the parents and coaches for all their help and support throughout the year and to the Parents' Association who put on a great reception for all the boys after the match.

Active School Week
This year's Active School Week takes place between April 23rd and 27th.
We are looking forward to many different activities being performed during the week!
We have many activities planned with visits from various sports stars, basketball matches and obstacle courses!
A great week in prospect!
Monday 23rd April
The first day of Active Schools Week saw the sixth class students pitted against the teachers. Despite a strong start from the students, the teachers proved to be too strong, leading 5-2 at the break before seeing off the students 12-6 in the end.
It was a great sporting event, with great sportsmanship shown throughout. All the viewing classes got in on the spirit of things too!
Well done all!
Girls Mini 7s Football 2024
Well done to girls' Mini 7s football team who took part in the Mini 7s football competition last Thursday, 29th February.
The girls put in some great performances, with a terrific win over Boardsmill N.S. the highlight of the day.
Well done to all the girls!

Our Captain Fantastic
Chloe McMahon, our unstoppable ANA and Ballivor football captain, turned a single triumph into a school‑wide celebration last week by marching through the corridors with a handful of proud teammates, the gleaming Junior Championship cup held high for every eye to see. She visited every class, sharing the story of the hard‑fought victory with contagious enthusiasm, and fielded a barrage of questions with the poise and humility of a true leader. Her energy, sportsmanship, and genuine willingness to inspire younger pupils have left the entire school buzzing with pride—we are incredibly proud of Chloe and the shining example she sets for us all.
Thank you to Chloe, manager Ian Kavanagh and all the players on the team who came into the school. Hopefully they can inspire more to take up football and continue the traditions that the girls from Kildalkey and Ballivor are setting.
